Module Contents
  • Oracle Discoverer Business Areas for Dolphin Navigator System (version 3.2) or for IC Community Applications
  • Publication of Oracle Discoverer Workbooks in IC Community Applications Business Navigator or Dolphin Navigator System 3.2
  • Permissions form for administering IC Community Applications or Dolphin user access to the BI module
System Requirements
  • IC Community Applications Enterprise Edition version 5.0 or Dolphin Navigator System Enterprise Edition version 3.2
  • Oracle Application Server 10g
  • Oracle Discoverer (see notes below)

Discoverer Viewer is a 100% HTML application, without any plug-ins or Java applets.

Discoverer Plus requires a thin-client Java installation. The installation is handled automatically by Oracle Application Server without any need for technical support.

Discoverer Desktop is a Windows client-server application that requires an Oracle SQL*Net client to be installed on the user PC.

Each of the Discoverer products provide essentially the same functionality in different forms of delivery. The method of delivery naturally affects the behaviour of the application, e.g. Desktop will behave as a normal Windows application (drag-and-drop, clipboard etc.), whilst Viewer behaves as a normal HTML web application (changes usually require resubmission, more limited user-defined formatting possiblities, etc.)
