Work in Progress
A Future Center Perspective
Since end of the 20th century, organizations have been experimenting with people-centred, brain-friendly workspaces better suited to the knowledge economy and network society we live in.
In some organizations they're called innovation labs, mind labs, or creativity rooms. We call them future centers, because in these workplaces the focus is on the future.
Future centers are surprising and stimulating settings: collaborating working environments, foresight-enabling workspaces, collective learning labs, solution finding environments, where people can work together on the issues that matter to their organizations and to society.
Work-in-Progress brings this world of innovation workspaces into focus. It's a learning journey to explore 14 future centers in the Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden and the U.K., to discover what they do, how they work, and why they are effective.
